Head start
It's almost Halloween!
I decided to get a head start on the candy eating.
This is me unwrapping one of the Qbel wafer bars I picked up at Grocery Outlet.
Mmm... Crispy rice and milk chocolate wafer bar.
Might as well eat another piece.
Peanut butter and milk chocolate wafer bars!
And mint and dark chocolate wafer bars. Tasty! The Qbel bars were awesome!

Two rolls, too awesome
I love to eat cake! My big friend bought me two Swiss rolls.
Swiss rolls = Awesome!
I unwrapped the rolls and rolled them onto plates.
I just couldn't resist taking a bite before slicing them. Mmm.
Tasty!
The slices were soft and awesome -- perfect for lying down on! Swiss rolls rock!

Let there be Leatherby's
I had a super awesome snack at Leatherby's Family Creamery.
What did I eat? Well, let's see.
I had a club sandwich with fries.
A small dish of chocolate ice cream and a chocolate ice cream soda. Super chocolatey!
And an orange sherbet freeze.
Wowie, was I stuffed afterwards! I could barely move. I was practically in a food coma.
But that didn't stop me from buying some ice cream to take home with me before leaving. Awesome!

Nothing like starting off a day with some Marie's Donuts!
Can you see me in the above picture? I'm sitting on the sign towards the right side of the "A". Remember, "A" is for awesome!

Delizioso! Part I
I had a fabulous dinner at Buca di Beppo, an Italian restaurant.
I ordered lots of food.
I sat on my napkin while I waited.
They brought some bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar for dipping. Awesome!
I ate lots and lots of bread. They brought me more. The bread was super awesome!

Warm woods Part II
I ended up at the visitor center after the hike. This display showcased cool critters that live in the area:
After looking around, it was back outside and through the woods (but not to grandmother's house) we go!
The tree trunk slice displays above mark various events that have happened over the course of human history and reflect just how long these coast redwoods live.
Most live 500-1,000 years but some live to over 2,000 years. That is awesome!
I had a super awesome time at Armstrong Woods! The woods rocked!

Warm woods Part I
I recently visited Armstrong Woods State Natural Reserve in Sonoma County.
The place is an awesome 805 acre old-growth redwood forest. Specifically, coast redwoods. In the picture above, that's me sitting on a giant tree trunk.
If you thought it had been warm in the valley, well, it wasn't much better in the woods. Unless you think warm and stuffy is awesome.
But back to the trees! Coast redwoods grow as far as fifty miles inland and rely on the fog for survival (fog provides much-needed moisture).
I went hiking up and down the steep trails amongst the awesome trees. What a workout!
Taking a break in the shade inside a tree trunk. Stay tuned for Part II!

The kids aren't alright
The kids are sour!
But what to expect when they come from a sour patch?
Still, once you get past the kids' sourness, underneath lies some sweetness.
Unless the kids attack you first. Ouch.
