Diggin' Malakoff Diggins Part I

I visited the awesome Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park.

It's located in Nevada City -- gold country!

The park has cabins that can be reserved by people who want to be amongst black bears.

And other old, ramshackle cabins.

I had an awesome time jumping in the leaf piles.

Malakoff Diggins is the site of California's largest hydraulic mine.

Hydraulic mining uses high-pressure jets of water to break up rock in the search for precious metal.  (My precious!)

This is a giant monitor and was used in hydraulic mining.

Brand new old jeans

Wowie, these Levi's jeans are big.

And old.  Yet brand new.

The labels on these jeans say "SINCE 1850" and "FOR OVER 110 YEARS" and include a 1966 copyright.

Jeans are awesome but I will forever wear spiffy yellow pants.

Fantastic Foreigner

Foreigner is awesome!

This CD is chock full of awesome songs like "Waiting for a Girl Like You" (I still haven't found my perfect SPL -- single plastic lady -- yet) and "Head Games".

They sure have big hair in the picture.  My awesome black hair will never grow as big as that because it's plastic.  Foreigner rocks!

Gun it to Gunther's! #3

Well, I did say I'd be back.  Back where?  Gunther's Ice Cream!

Sitting with my pumpkin ice cream bon bons.  Ricky Martin would probably tell you to shake your bon bons, but I don't think so.  I ate my bon bons.

Espresso chip ice cream.  I accidentally fell into the cup.

And Oreo pie on a stick.  Like my buddy Arnie famously said in The Terminator, "I'll be back."  Awesome!

Pom awesome

It's pomegranate season!

Pomegranates are not the easiest things to eat.

But they taste delightful to my cool plastic taste buds and are worth the extra time to eat!

Pom awesome!

Keys

I love Christmas music.  It always puts me in an awesome mood.

And what's better than playing your own Christmas music?

Maybe you can come over and sing while I play the keyboard.   That'd be super awesome!

Buns and sponges

My big friends bought me some delicious baked goods from J&J Bakery.

Buns against bun.

The buns were bun-tastic!

I also enjoyed a sponge cake.  It was awesome!  It didn't taste anything like a sponge.

And some egg custards.

That fantastic yellow color just makes them taste that much better!

I hope you all have an awesome December!
