Pop! Pop! Soda Shoppe!

There's nothing quite like going to a soda shoppe on a hot summer day to get a cool drink.  Ah.  So refreshing and just plain awesome!  When you're just too busy and  just can't get out to go to a soda shoppe, Jelly Belly has solved that problem.  Check out the awesome Jelly Belly Soda Pop Shoppe Gummi Bottles!



There are five flavors: Cherry Coke, Grape, Lemon Lime (which by the way is an awesome green color!), Orange, and Root Beer.



Of course, being such an awesome green color, I tried the Lemon Lime flavor first.  One word: Awesome! (with a capital "A"!)



Then I tried Root Beer.  Good but not awesome.  I guess I am not as fond of the licorice-like flavor.

An Awesome Afghan

Sorry, folks, if you are Afghani, but I'm talking about the awesome crocheted variety!  That's not to say that you aren't awesome, too.  I think all people are awesome!  Check out the picture below.  First off, can you find me?  Good luck!  Waldo doesn't have anything on Little Man! 



Secondly, the patterns are amazing and mesmerizing!  It may look a little retro, but it's still awesome in my book!

Awesome Solvang sweets

I bought this awesome chocolate from Solvang on my wonderful vacation.  It was hard waiting to eat them until I got home.  Here I am opening the box of chocolately goodness.

Awesome Amazon Kindle!

For those of you who know me, I am one awesome book worm!  There's nothing like cracking open a good book on the weekend.  My biggest issue, though, is sometimes those books, while awesome, smell weird.  Well, problem solved!  I received my Amazon Kindle today in the mail!  I, of course, got the one without advertisements because I am awesome.  I took some photos so you can see how cool the Kindle is.



Wow, the Kindle is quite large!  Well, for you normal-sized people, it is nice and light and just the right size to enjoy while swinging on the front porch.



Like any normal schmoe, I enjoy a good scare.  What better than the works of Edgar Allan Poe.  He writes some scary stuff!  However, he is one awesome dude!  Too bad he is dead...



Reading might appear daunting but the benefits for your brain are incredible!



I admit sometimes reading makes me sleepy.  The Kindle makes an awesome bed!  Nighty-night!

Viva la vista points!

Heading north on Highway 1, which is also called the Pacific Coast Highway. 



I stopped at several vista points to stretch my yellow-pantsed legs.

A berry good dinner

In Cambria, I dined at Linn's.  





I ordered and then sat down on the table to wait.



The waiter brought me some bread, butter, and a delicious berry jam.



My Caesar salad came next.  I sure do love salads!



Then my main course -- a slice of chicken pot pie, mashed potatoes and gravy, and mixed vegetables.



It was all quite tasty! 

Sitting on mussels

After my awesome visit to Hearst Castle, I went to Cambria.  First stop: Moonstone Beach.



There were lots of cool, hole-ridden rocks.



And rocks covered with mussels.



And darn right awesome sand, nice and warm in the sun!  Ahhh.



What a grand day!  And it wasn't over yet!  After all, what about dinner?  Come back for more!  Have an awesome night!
