Milling about Part II

The grist mill, which has since been partially restored, was originally completed in 1846.

It was owned by Dr. Edward Turner Bale, who moved from England to California in the 1830's.

But he soon died in 1849 at the age of 38.  This is me inside the awesome mill.

The mill today churns out bread flour, pastry flour, buckwheat, cornmeal, polenta, spelt, and rye.  For $5, you can take home an awesome little brown bag of your choice grain!

It was awesome seeing the mill in action!

My big friend signed me into the Visitor Register.  Indeed, the mill was super awesome!

Outside I enjoyed a rest in this fake man's awesome wooden spoon.  Ah, comfy!

  1. How old are you? Hopefully you are 38 and will die like Dr. Bale.
