Not in San Jose Part I

I visited Mission San Jose.



It is number 14 of the 21 Spanish missions in California.



Built in 1797, the mission is located in present day Fremont, not in San Jose!



The mission was named in honor of Saint Joseph.



I sat on Father Junipero Serra's big toe.  It's always a pleasure to sit on his big toe, wherever I find him in California!
