Precious pines Part I

I was on my way to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and passed through Torrey Pines State Beach.



This was one rocky beach!



Inside the visitor center.



After enjoying the exhibits, I went walking.



And walking.



This place is home to the nation's rarest pine tree, Pinus torreyana.  The Torrey pine tree is native to only one other place, Santa Rosa Island.
