Faux snow

For the fake snow experiment, I filled the plastic petri dish with water and got a capful of the white powder from the tube.  That white stuff, by the way, is sodium polyacrylate, which is what the "marbles" in my previous posts were also made of.



Anyway, I was ready to make some snow!  I dumped the white powder into the petri dish.



The powder began expanding...



...and expanding.  It knocked me off my feet!



Wahoo!  Fake snow.  I prefer the real stuff but this would have to do.



I walked through the snow.



I even made little man snow angels.  Awesome!
