Beachcombing Part II

All those awesome things that you saw in my previous post I had found at Cowell Ranch Beach.

I'm sitting on the "L" in the above picture.  Below is a close-up.

"L" is for Little Man!

It was a long trek to the beach.  At the end of the trail was a harbor seal viewing spot.  And then a long staircase down to the beach.

After tumbling down the staircase, I was finally on the beach.

Ahh!  Nothing quite like being covered in warm sand on a beach.

There's also nothing quite like a long day at the beach and then having to climb back up a ton of stairs.  Good thing my big friends had come along; they carried my beachcombing finds for me.  Maybe I should have hitched a ride on one of them as well.

Getting down in old town

Petula Clark probably loves downtowns.  I wonder if she loves paying for parking?  I went downtown and paid for parking using this spiffy dark green pay machine.

Then I wandered around downtown and over to Old Sacramento.

Sitting on some old bricks in Old Sac.

I got hungry so I stopped for a quick snack at the Spud Shack.

I ordered the Ireland fries.  They came with cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing.  They were awesome!

Later, back at home I enjoyed the awesome chocolates I had bought at the See's Candies shop across from the State Capitol.  I had such an awesome day!  I hope you had an awesome day today, too!

Dive time

I can just hear the announcer calling out, "Ladies and gentlemen, at the tub side ready to dive is Little Man!"

"1... 2... 3..."

Splash!  "And he's off!"

I love swimming!  And because I'm a little man, a bath tub makes a perfect pool!

Leaning tower of pizza bagels

Pizza bagels are awesome.

These jalapeno and cheese pizza bagels were made by the Sacramento Baking Company.  Super awesome!

Piping hot

I went to lunch at Akebono.

Looking at the menu.  I bet you don't have to stand on menus to see them, right?  So many awesome dishes, what to order?

A nice, piping hot bowl of udon noodles!

It was delicious and filling.

They gave me an after-lunch candy.

The color rocked!  And it was banana-tastic!

Piece of pizza

My big friends made these pizzas.

The pizzas sure were peculiar-looking.

But they tasted fine.

Mmm.  Meat.

Magnificent Marin Part II

Marin Headlands used to be a military site and there are plenty of remnants from that time.

I went on an awesome guided tour of Battery Townsley, a refurbished World War II-era underground fort.

The guide said there were two showers and toilets for 150 men.

Outside was a cool model of the battery.  This is me with the gun.  It's just my size! Awesome!

Sitting on a corroded door handle.

Resting in the shade of some more awesome succulents.

I had a fab time!

Magnificent Marin Part I

It was just a couple of weeks ago that I was relaxing in an awesome orange poppy.

Where in the world was I?

At Marin Headlands!  I went to the visitor center where I signed their guest book with a cool, yellow number two pencil.

"Please Touch," the sign said.  Awesome!  Let's touch!

I love touching miscellaneous animal bones.

Outside I went hiking and came across awesome succulents (above) and cool fungus (below).

Stay tuned for more!

Smile! You're looking at Little Man's blog!

It has been cold, windy, and rainy all week long.

But a bag of McCain Smiles makes any day awesome and bright!

The package said, "EASY OPEN BAG".  I suppose they had big people in mind when they put that down.

After a bit of work, I got the bag open.  Look at all those awesome frozen potato faces smiling back at me!

Into the pan to bake!

These happy fellows look like they got a good tan in the oven.

Munch, munch.  Awesome and delicious!

Succulents don't suck

Have you sat in a succulent today?

It does a body good!
