Artsy Oakland Part II

I  love "Please Touch" signs.  Touch away I will!  At the Oakland Museum of California, there were some awesome things to touch in the Gallery of California History.

I sat on the basalt cooking stones.  Ahh, so hard.

Then I took a rest on the rabbit fur.  Ahh, so soft.

Next, I took a gander in the boxes representing what Spaniards brought with them when they first arrived in California in 1769.  For example, they brought diseases... and rats.

This, unfortunately, I couldn't touch.

In another part of the gallery, while I walked by a raccoon, one of my big friends was busy drawing away.

Ta-da!  How awesome is this?  I think my big friends are awesome, too!  Stay tuned for Part III!

Artsy Oakland Part I

Ah, Oakland.  It's the city with a not-so-awesome reputation.  But it's got an oh-so-awesome museum!

Oakland Museum of California, here we come!

Right outside the entrance of the buildings is a gigantic chalkboard.  My big friends grabbed chalk and began scribbling away... in my honor.  How awesome!

Hmm.  Looks just like me, right?

We meandered up, down, and around the grounds of the museum.  I am but a tiny speck in the photos above and below due to everything being so big!

Big but awesome, of course.

Come back for Part II!

Downright awesome!

While my big friends were browsing the aisles of Target, I came across this journal, which I ascertained to be most awesome!

Hope you all have a most awesome day!  I will!
