Milling about Part I

My big friends and I went to Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park, which is located in Napa County near St. Helena and Calistoga.

After parking in the lot, my big friends whipped out a La Bou bag.  I've never had a La Bou croissant before.  Oh boy, oh boy, was I excited to eat one!

It was super fabulous!  Buttery and flaky, and filled with delicious ham and cheese! Eating it was like being in heaven!

So after our delicious snack, we jumped out of the car and headed to the mill.

Walking over the wooden bridge.  Before we reached the mill, my big friends took a detour to use the bathrooms, which were labeled "NECESSARY HOUSE".  That's definitely not a house I'd like to live in!

Outside the mill by the water wheel, which was super large (36 feet) and super awesome!  Stay tuned for Part II.

Fab fair Part III

I sure did enjoy the Toytopia 2.0 exhibit at the California State Fair!

I even sat on the muzzle of this awesome golden bear made out of Legos.

I suppose if I wasn't a living, breathing little plastic man, then I could have been in the exhibit as well.

Sitting on the back of a fake horse.

Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head when they were made with real potatoes.  Mmm, delicious.

Overall, the fair rocked!  I had an awesome time!  Maybe I'll go again next year.

Fab fair Part II

At the California State Fair, I enjoyed all the food-related things.  Food makes my world go 'round!

There were cooking demos, an awesome vegetable garden, food booths...

Speaking of food booths, I visited a couple for some tasty treats.  I shared this awesome foot long sausage with my big friends.

Then we each enjoyed a Merlino's Freeze!  I got orange.  It was perfect to help beat the heat!

After eating I visited the Sun-Maid Raisin display and got free raisins!  Awesome!  The Sun-Maid lady is pretty spiffy, don't you think?

But she probably smells like a raisin.  That might not be so awesome.  Stay tuned for Part III!

Fab fair Part I

The 2012 California State Fair has been over for about three weeks now but I had a grand time there!

I enjoyed all the awesome displays.  One county exhibit had this freaky blue cow head into whose mouth you throw balls.

There was a Girl Scouts display that was complete with awesome fake Girl Scouts!  (Girl Scouts cookies rock!)

A spiffy display of fishing lures.  The yellow and green lures were my favorites.

Then I was lounging on a rock by the side of I-5...

...when I suddenly found myself lying in the middle of the road!  Yowza!  What happened here?  But anyways, fun fact time!  The first California State Fair was held in San Francisco in the year 1854.  Awesome!  Stay tuned for Part II!

Loco for tacos

I heard about those Doritos Locos Tacos and wanted to try one myself.  I love tacos and Doritos.

Checking out the view from the taco package.  I bet you can't do this with your food.  I wonder if the QR code in this picture still works.

Here I am inspecting the filling before eating my taco.  It was awesome!  Very crunchy and Dorito-y.

1-2-3 Easy Cheesy!

As some of you may recall, I was chowing down on some Easy Cheese in the desert. You might ask, why would you ever eat Easy Cheese in the desert? But duh, it's awesome! Anyway, I didn't finish it all and had a good amount left in that ginormous can. What better way to enjoy it than in a fish stick sandwich?

It took a little bit of work, but I was able to line up my fish sticks properly. Of course, beneath it was a good squirt of Easy Cheese! It's already ooey and gooey so you don't have to wait for it to melt!

Added some lettuce and tomato.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get one half of the sandwich on top of the other half. Anyway, after several minutes of struggling, I'm able to enjoy a yummy fish stick sandwich with a good dose of Easy Cheese! Easy peasy and awesome!

My sweet tooth

You may not know but I have a rather large sweet tooth for being such a little man.  Also, I love eggs.  Eggs are an awesome source of protein and other nutrients necessary for being a healthy little man.  When I saw this combo of eggs and candy at Target, I knew I had to get it.

The container is huge! It towers above me and is filled with luscious sweet sunny-side up eggs.

After cracking open the lid, I decided to dive on in. I went straight for the yolk. It was golden, gummy, and delicious!

Well, I had a good time eating all those eggs.  I only have one left.  I will save it for a rainy day!  Now to look for some candy chickens.  Which came first, I wonder (if candy chickens exist)?

I left my heart in San Francisco - so I went back and got some ice cream!

Howdy again, awesome friends!  I found myself once again in the great city of San Francisco.  I was meandering the hilly streets.

I kept walking until I found myself at an ice cream joint called The Ice Cream Bar.  It is a super awesome place that harkens back to the olden days -- the good ol' 1930's!  I grabbed a menu, took a seat, and perused the menu.

I was pretty hungry and exhausted from all the hilly terrain of SF so I settled for three different items.

The first was a delectable scoop of hazelnut ice cream.  It was nutty just like me!  Check me out posing on the edge of the bowl.

Next, I got an ice cream sandwich.  It consisted of two chewy chocolate chip cookies with chocolate sorbet between them.  It was super sweet and super delicious.

Lastly, I decided to get the Vienna sundae.  I wanted to end my trip to The Ice Cream Bar with a bang.  Bang!  It was awesome!  Crispy almond meringues with scoops of strawberry sorbet and vanilla ice cream.  On top of that was a crazy good strawberry sauce.  I didn't realize until it was too late, but they forgot my whipped cream!  It's okay, though.  It was awesomely good so I forgive them!

Putt putt putty

Since I'm such a handy little man, I helped my big friend fix a door.

After working the Elmer's Wood Filler in my mighty green hands, I pressed it into the holes in the door.  I let the wood putty dry overnight.

The next day I was pumped and ready to sand!  Sanding, though quite hard work, results in an awesome smooth surface.  I sanded, and sanded, and sanded...

Whew!   I was rather dusty and sweaty afterwards but my big friend gave me a high five and an ice cold soda pop.  It was an awesome day!

Handy (little) man

I love wandering the aisles of the local Home Depot.

There are so many awesome things to look at, such as these super cool drills.

They come in all sorts of awesome colors!  Although I didn't go home with one today, I did go home with a spiffy new ladder.

My ladder is super awesome!

Filthy rich

My big friends gave me all these awesome rolls full of coins.

I've never had so much money before.  I'm rich!  I'll save it for something really awesome!  Woohoo!
