Rocks alive

Hello, all my little peeps with little green thumbs!  I hope you all had an awesome Christmas; I sure did!  Today we look at the wonderful cactus known as a living rock or lithop.

This plant looks a little dead!  Fear not, the plants typically only have two leaves at a time and as new ones grow, the outer leaves die.

Let me rotate the pot for you a bit...  Here you can see there are actually two plants emerging!  How awesome!

Also, as you can see, I give all my plants the loving care they deserve.  I'm giving the plant a hug right now!

Game night with Little Man #2

My big friend and I had an awesome game night.

We decided to play Tri-Ominos, the super awesome triangular domino game!

Each player grabs nine triangles.

What spiffy black equilateral triangles with such fine white numbers!

I happened to have drawn the triangle with the highest number in triple so I moved my triangle to the middle of the table to start off the game.

To play the game, you take turns connecting triangles by matching up the numbers on the sides.  If you don't have a matching piece, you get to pick a new piece and add it to your bunch of triangles!

Make sure you have a large enough surface area to play on 'cause it can get long and winding!

I happened to win, which was way awesome!  Wahoo!  I look forward to more game nights with my big buddies!

Eat a star, be a star!

When OneRepublic sings that they'll be counting stars, they're probably not talking about star-shaped crackers.

But I am!  These are Safeway Kitchens Flavor Burst Starfish crackers.  "Ex-tra" cheddar flavored!

After opening the package, I eagerly reached in and grabbed a star.

None of the stars had smiley faces like the box depicted but they were still awesomely cheesy and delicious!  Awesome!

Gotta eat 'em all -- chocoballs!

I had this awesome bag of Lindt Lindor Dark Chocolate Truffles.

As I stood there looking at the package, I decided I might as well open it!

So I opened it and dumped the truffles into an awesome, festive dish.

See the spiffy snowflake decorations on the dish?  And see those things that are not truffles?

Those things were a dandy coupon and a piece of Lindt Excellence: A Touch of Sea Salt Dark Chocolate.

I saved those for later and grabbed a truffle.

My, how grand and round it was.

I took a nibble.  Boy, oh, boy, was it tasty and smooth!

And inside was, oh my, liquid chocolate!  Normally the filling is solid.  Maybe there was something wrong with this batch of chocolates.  Even so, I ate 'em all!  They were mighty tasty!
