Fo' shore

There were lots of awesome bike racks in the Belmont Shore area in Long Beach, such as this palm tree-shaped one:



And this cool fish-shaped one:



All the walking made me a thirsty little man!



So I bought myself a smoothie from Jamba Juice.



Later that night in my hotel room I enjoyed the awesome Sixlets I had bought at Powell's Sweet Shoppe.

Aqua-tastic! Part II

I enjoyed all the exhibits at the Aquarium of the Pacific.



Shrimp and urchins.



Awesome little jellyfish; just my size!  They totally rocked!



A giant spider crab.  My, what long legs it has.  I can just imagine them cooked and on a platter with some salt and butter.  Mmm.  Crab.





The aquarium was super awesome!

Aqua-tastic! Part I

After getting my fortune told by Zoltar, I walked over to the Aquarium of the Pacific.



There were two cool, fake blue whales suspended from the ceiling.



And lots of awesome tanks with awesome creatures. 



Outside was the Shark Lagoon.  People could reach into the water and touch the sharks and rays.  Unfortunately, being a little man, my arms couldn't reach that deep.  Plus, I didn't want to risk getting eaten by a shark!



So instead I sat on this awesome fake sea turtle.



Then I went back inside where they had dimmed the place and was playing this awesome short film.  Come back for Part II and have an awesome night!

Harbor and Zoltar

After lunch I strolled around the Long Beach harbor and shops.





Look at the awesome boats docked in the harbor!



I got my fortune told by Zoltar for a dollar.  



He was wearing an awesome yellow shirt.  And he told me to live my days as if they're my last, if I know what he means.  Is he saying I'm going to die soon?  That is so not awesome of him.



My paper fortune was pretty awesome, though!  And much more accurate than a fortune cookie!



It said, in part, "You are a very virtuous person.  You have chosen the path of righteousness and you will be very happy.  You are not easily influenced.  Your relatives have a great deal of respect for you.  They know that you have a keen mind and an understanding nature."  Awesome!

Lunchin' in Long Beach

I had a tasty lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Long Beach.







I ordered a Dixie Fishwich.



And the Shrimp New Orleans.  What can I say?  I was a hungry little man.



No, I didn't pass out after eating my lunch.  I accidentally tripped over that piece of lettuce.



Yeah!  My lunch rocked!

Seeing stars

I saw lots of awesome stars in L.A.  First, along the Hollywood Walk of Fame:



I strolled up and down Hollywood Boulevard, past Grauman's Chinese Theatre.  There were lots of big people everywhere, many who were dressed in costumes.  I was lucky to avoid being stepped on.



Then, I saw stars (and planets) at the Griffith Observatory in Griffith Park:



Griffith Observatory was named for Griffith J. Griffith. 



There were swarms of big people at the observatory, too.



But I had an awesome time!

Gotta getta Getty

I'm having an awesome trip in Southern California!



In Los Angeles, I visited the J. Paul Getty Museum.  To get to the museum, after parking in the garage, you take a tram ride up the mountain to the museum grounds.





Huff, puff.  I climbed up lots of stairs.



Inside the north, south, west and east buildings, I admired all the awesome artwork.



I should take up painting, and then maybe one day I will become a famous artist!

Chow time

I bought myself a quart of BBQ pork chow mein and some pot stickers from Raley's awesome Sizzling Wok.



I just couldn't wait to dig into the awesome noodles!







To polish off my meal, I had a bowl of fresh fruit:

Nice and beefy

I'm a little man and I enjoy a nice, beefy burger.





My big friend, on the other hand, enjoys a not-quite-so-beefy vegetable burger.



My burger and fries at The Counter were super awesome.



Also, my big friend shared an olive with me to wear as a hat.  Awesome!

Three turtles

I met three green and yellow turtles today.





They knocked me off my cool-black-plastic-shoe-enshrouded-feet and stared at me.



And then stepped on me.



No, wait, I think this one was trying to give me a hug.  Why, I like you, too, awesome little fellow!
