Game night with Little Man #4

The other night one of my big friends pulled out a game called "Pizza Toppings".  He hadn't played it in ages, and I hadn't ever played it at all.

We split up the flat, round plastic toppings: red was tomatoes, orange was mushrooms, yellow was onions, and green was peppers.

My big friend let me go first.  The blue button on my side didn't work very well so I used the other one.  The cube landed with an orange circle on top.

That meant I put an orange topping down -- a mushroom!  After I placed it on the pizza, I rotated the pizza clockwise by one slice.

Round and round we went around the pizza, topping it with delicious plastic veggies that smiled back at us.

Yes!  Done playing!  I have to say that the game wasn't super fun.  But the plastic-ness of everything was awesome.

Bright green mushy

Good ol' mushy peas.  They're like a staple in the U.K.  Peeps in the U.S., however, must not be too fond of them since there were many cans of Batchelors Mushy Original Processed Peas in the clearance shelf at the grocery store.

But never fear, for I bought one to take home and try.

Opening the can of Mushy.

Wowie, what a super bright green color it is!

I dumped the Mushy in a bowl and then microwaved it.

Ah, nothing quite like steaming hot Mushy to accompany some splendiferous ham!

I got some of the ham and some roasted carrots, cut them up, and mixed them with some Mushy.

It tasted just like split pea soup!  Only it wasn't soupy!  Awesome!  Mushy rocks!

Fun in the forest Part III

At Yosemite National Park was this time capsule, which is scheduled to be opened in a hundred years from 1990.

This is a model of the Yosemite Falls area and that's me flowing down the stream.

This is me by the area where the Lower Yosemite Fall would flow, but it happened to be dry during my visit.  Still, the rocks were awesome!

A spider even came and visited me!

I continued on my way.  I sure do love hiking!  But it wears me out!

While on my way back home, I stopped to enjoy a delicious fish sandwich and fries at Red Robin.  Mmm, food.  A great way to end a great day of fun at Yosemite National Park.  Awesome!

Fun in the forest Part II

Yosemite National Park sure was awesome.

I visited Yosemite Village, which was teeming with big people.

Inside one of the buildings was this dandy model/map of the park.

I imagined what it might be like to fall off one of the cliffs and into the gorge below.  Unpleasant sums it up.

Outside I purchased a map for 50 cents.

Then I hung out with a fake tarantula in the visitor center and later sat on a bench outside by the historical landmark sign.  Awesome!  I love sitting on benches!

Come back for the final part III!

Fun in the forest Part I

On my way to Yosemite National Park, I passed by miles and miles of the Stanislaus National Forest, which was severely burned during the Rim Fire last year.

These are some of the charred remains from the Rim Fire, which was the third largest wildfire in California's history.  The fire was supposedly caused by a hunter's illegal fire, which is most definitely not awesome.  Big people sure can be irresponsible sometimes!

I may look quite chipper in the photos but really, I was a very sad little man.  (Plastic people can't change the facial expression they're made with.)

But on to happier things: Yosemite National Park!  It luckily did not suffer as much damage as the Stanislaus National Forest.

Also, food always makes me happy!  I brought along an awesome ham and cheese croissant from La Bou to chow down on before going on a hike.

I enjoyed the awesome scenery at the park.

Stay tuned for more photos from Yosemite!
