Oh, Olompali Part I

A few miles north of Novato along Highway 101 is a spiffy place -- Olompali State Historic Park!

"Olompali" is a Miwok word.  This area was once the site of one of the largest known villages of Coast Miwok.

Later this area was occupied by some awesome peeps, the Burdells, during the mid-1800's.  These buildings are from that time.

Old buildings sure are fabulous.

Walking through gravel is tough for a little man since gravel to a little man is more like rocks.  But it was an awesome workout!

Afterwards, I joined in a dance with the awesome Miwok peeps.

Then, it was time for a rest!  Whew!

Now, what is this?  Come back for Part II!
