Trails and dam Part I

I went to Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego.

This is the Old Mission Dam.  It was completed between 1813 and 1816 by Franciscan missionaries and Indian laborers.  It was in operation until 1831.

This is a cool model of the dam.  The gap is where a floodgate would have been.

This is me imagining what it would have been like to fall into the flowing water.

Wahoo!  Through the invisible floodgate I go!  Stay tuned for Part II.

  1. You should go through the floodgate and never come back.
