Call of the Wild Part IV

I went inside Jack London's cool cottage.

This was Jack's office.  He wrote and conducted business here.

Outside the cottage was a cool koi pond.

Then I wandered over to the Pig Palace.  Jack was also a farmer and raised animals, including pigs, chickens, and cattle.  The Pig Palace consisted of a circular layout of concrete pig pens with a feed tower in the middle.

Jack must have really loved pigs.  Well, I can understand -- pigs are awesome.  Pigs taste awesome, too!  There was a smokehouse a short distance behind the Pig Palace.

There were also silos.  These were used to store shredded corn stalks, which was fed to Jack's dairy cows.  The pigs got the corn.  Lucky pigs.  Jack sure was busy -- busy like Busy Buzzy, my big friends' favorite book character.  Jack London State Historic Park sure was awesome! You should visit it!
