Discovering gold Part V

Today's the last part of Discovering gold

Awesome old wagons.

John Sutter and James Marshall went into the lumber business together, and a sawmill was built.  This is Sutter's Mill.  Actually, it's a replica of Sutter's Mill, as the original was torn down for its lumber.

A cool stamp mill.  It was huge, but I am in this picture.  Stamp mills crushed rocks to help extract gold.

Here's a close-up.

Inside an awesome metal thing, which I believe was used for hydraulic mining.

This was one awesome State Park!  Hopefully you learned something about gold mining.  Then you can tell everyone you learned something from Little Man.  That would be awesome!
